IKoNO Wooden Radio/Speaker

2 Reviews

The IKoNo wooden radio is inspired by the iconic form of a portable radio : round knobs, speaker grill, handle, telescopic antenna and and basic box shape. Creator Singgih Kartono, of Magno Designs, combines dark & light colours of woods for the individual parts of the radio with a style that will bring back memories of old (if you’re old enough to remember). This modern eco spin on the retro radio is simple yet stunning and something to behold and enjoy.

  1. 4 out of 5

    (verified owner):

My wife absolutely LOVES her new IKoNO radio and it takes pride of place in her kitchen.
The beautiful natural wood tones help make it the wonderfully crafted radio that it is.
I was worried at first that she may have trouble finding the stations, as this particular model does not have a visual indication of where you are when tuning a station, but she mastered it in no time.
I get the feeling this will become an heirloom piece our girls will one day enjoy.
4 Stars out of 5 from me.
My wife would give it 5 out of 5 as is, but if it had a visual indicator for tuning then a very easy 5 out of 5 from me too.

  2. 4 out of 5

    (verified owner):

I love the radio. It’s just nice to have a simple one function little radio in the house. Great for listening to tunes while cooking dinner, and easy to bring outside and listen to while gardening or whatever. It’s nice being able to charge it via USB as well. Although it doesn’t seem to last as long as id hope. It might only get 8 hrs of radio per charge.

It’s such a cool looking radio though, and everyone comments on it when they see it on our kitchen bench.
